In 2021, join #TeamButterfly as we walk, run, cycle and swim from May to September for children with neuroblastoma.

Together we will fight for a future where no child dies of neuroblastoma by travelling 21,000 km in 5 months.

Everyone taking part will receive their own hand knitted butterfly to take on their journeys as a symbol of hope, and everyone who takes part will be part of one team: #TeamButterfly.

The story behind the Butterfly Relay

Hannah was diagnosed with high-risk stage 4 neuroblastoma in 2003, at the age of 3 years old. Following years of treatment, relapses, more treatment and some wonderful happy times too, she sadly died in 2010 aged 9 years old.

Inspired by her daughter, Hannah's mum, Clare, and her friends have knitted hundreds of butterflies ready for the Butterfly Relay. They will fly all over the UK and be carried by you as a symbol of hope as we walk, swim, run and cycle 21,000 km together in honour of Hannah's 21st birthday.

Ready for the launch of the Butterfly Relay in May, heroes up and down the country will be making hand knitted butterflies ready for their big adventure in May.

If you would like to be part of #TeamButterflyKnitters and hand knit some butterflies, please sign up below to receive the knitting pattern.

If you enjoy knitting, this is another great way to get involved for Solving Kids' Cancer.
