Solving Kids’ Cancer is Calling all Home Heroes to join the 2.6 Challenge from Sunday 26th April, 2020

From Sunday 26 April, the day when the London Marathon would have taken place, join thousands of people across the UK for one of the nations biggest fundraising events of the year - the 2.6 challenge.

Solving Kids’ Cancer, like many charities across the country, has been hugely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. We have had to postpone or cancel the many fundraising events we had planned but we are excited and thankful to be part of the 2.6 Challenge and would ask that you join in too, to support our work.

You can be creative as you like and have fun whilst raising vital funds to support Solving Kids Cancer. This is a challenge for all ages and abilities - just think of an activity based around the numbers 26 or 2.6 and complete it on or from Sunday 26th April. The possibilities are endless, but here are just a few examples:

  • 2.6 or 26 mile mile run/walk/cycle
  • Family challenge: run 26 miles, combined, as a family or groups of friends
  • Plank or squat for 26 minutes in a day
  • Hula hoop for 26 minutes
  • Pub quiz: put on a virtual pub quiz for your friends and family - charge £2.60 each or invite 26 people
  • Host an online workout for 26 people
  • Sponsored silence: challenge yourself to stay silent for 26 hours straight
  • Bake a cake: bake a cake in the shape of a 26. . . or bake 26 cakes!
  • Donate £2.60 or £26 to Solving Kids' Cancer

About us

Solving Kids’ Cancer’s fights for a future where no child dies neuroblastoma, a deadly childhood cancer, or suffers due to the treatment they receive. Solving Kids’ Cancer is a leading funder of clinical trials and funds pioneering research into effective treatment options for children, giving parents and families hope for their futures. We also provide direct emotional and financial support to families, and support individual fundraising campaigns for children whose best chance of survival may be in accessing clinical trials not yet available in the UK.
