A new Chief Executive is to head the childhood cancer charity, Solving Kids’ Cancer (Europe), based in the UK.

Having spent the last seventeen years working for Macmillan Cancer Support, Stephen Richards has extensive experience in the field and will focus on driving the charity’s aims of supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer and bringing research and treatment closer to home so that children do not have travel abroad.

Starting his new role, Steve Richards said:

“I am passionate in my belief that every child affected by cancer should receive the highest quality care, enabling them to live life to the full. Solving Kids’ Cancer works to advocate on behalf of children and to enable families to make informed decisions."

“I am committed to ensuring that Solving Kids’ Cancer provides the emotional, practical and clinical support required by children and families affected by childhood cancer. We will continue to drive an increase in the range and quality of research bringing treatments closer to home.  Solving Kids’ Cancer has an important mission and I am excited by the challenges ahead.”
