So many people are affected by cancer. It's all around us! The facts tell us that one in two people will have cancer in their lifetime! This is a scary prospect, knowing that every person I care about is at risk. What is more humbling are the men, women and children that fight against this disease! They have such fire in their souls and they soldier on.

One thing that none of us want to face in adulthood though is to lose a child! It fills me with dread every time I think about it, and then I realise that so many people have already gone through this. I cannot imagine what they must be feeling.

Solving Kids Cancer is such a wonderful charity, supporting the children and their families through some of the hardest times of their lives. Times that I would not wish on my worst enemy.

This December challenge will seem trivial to some, but the target is to walk/run 100 miles before the end of the month. Ideally, I would like to complete this challenge before Xmas Day!

Why do this? To make a small difference, to offer a little token of appreciation and support, that won't change the world, but hopefully highlights that this cause matters, in the hope that together we move ever closer to a day when mankind finds a cure for this terrible disease!

There will be regular updates on my Instagram, so please go and follow me, and if you wish, make a small donation to this amazing cause!

Thank you.

20th December Update!

My 100 miles walk/run December challenge is complete! 100.5 miles in total! I only had one day with no miles clocked up!

Three days ahead of my planned finish date, but I will carry on going for the rest of the month, although maybe I'll have a couple of days rest!

Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me, this is just a start of what is to come in 2021 with a 'virtual' Lands End to John O'Groats challenge, and taking part in the Solving Kids' Cancer Butterfly Relay from May to September! Details to follow!

To all my friends, family & acquaintances, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a 2021 filled with promise, health & wealth!

Stay safe!
