Natalie Cassidy joins Solving Kid's Cancer UK as Patron

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we are delighted to announce that actor, podcast host, and TV personality, Natalie Cassidy has joined Solving Kid’s Cancer UK as our newest Patron.

Natalie has been a familiar face on our screens for over three decades, most notably in her iconic role as Sonia in EastEnders. She’s also made her mark in the podcasting world with her show Life with Nat. After stepping away from the soap earlier this year, Natalie was crowned winner of ITV’s Cooking With The Stars and is set to release her memoir Happy Days this October.

Natalie has been a longtime friend of the charity, after her daughter’s best friend was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma at just five years old. Since then, she has championed our work, including presenting our BBC Radio 4 Appeal last year.

In her role as Patron, Natalie will help amplify the charity’s voice, raise vital awareness, and inspire greater public support for its mission to improve survival and quality of life for children with neuroblastoma.

Gail Jackson, CEO of Solving Kids' Cancer UK, said:

“We are delighted that Natalie Cassidy is joining Solving Kids’ Cancer UK as Patron. She has been a wonderful friend to the charity over the past few years, and we’re excited to continue working with her more closely. Her passion and enthusiasm will be instrumental in raising awareness of neuroblastoma and driving forward our fundraising efforts, and we are so grateful for her support.”

We have lots of exciting things planned with Natalie – so keep an eye out for more updates soon!
