We are delighted to announce another significant award from GamesAid – a charity which supports children’s charities in the UK.

On 14 September Solving Kids’ Cancer representatives Vicky Inglis, Claire Hislop and Stephen Richards were presented with a cheque for £69,729 at an event hosted by GamesAid for all their chosen charities for 2017.

GamesAid acts as a collective for charitable activity on behalf of the video gaming industry. Each year, members of GamesAid nominate a charity and, following a due diligence process, successful charities enter a ballot. The charities with the most votes get an equal share of the total funds raised by GamesAid.

Proud

We are proud to say that this is the second year we have been successful thanks to the number of votes we received from GamesAid members. Last year we received a generous amount of £95,400.

These funds enable us to continue to invest in vital neuroblastoma research that gives children fighting neuroblastoma today access to potential new treatment options – which they desperately need – whilst advancing science to find a cure for future children. The funds will also enable us to be there for more families in the UK throughout their cancer journey; to provide support, information and guidance, empowering them to manage the challenges.

Our enormous thanks to GamesAid and to everyone that fundraised contributing to their phenomenal fundraising total of £557,839.

Our special thanks to our ambassador Spencer Crossley who tirelessly championed our cause both this year and last. His fantastic work to rally support for us contributed significantly to our success.

And of course, to everyone who voted for us – we are forever grateful.

We hope to repeat this amazing success again next year. Please follow us on our social media or check our website for details as they are published. It is never too early to register to vote! Click here for details.
