Training for train-crazy Teddy
I'm fundraising in support of three-year-old Teddy who is fighting neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer.
Why I'm fundraising
Teddy’s family needs to raise £300,000 by the end of the year to access non-NHS treatment in the US that could save Teddy's life.
I originally wasn’t planning on fundraising for this marathon. I’m busy. Training is really tough (and embarrassingly slow) this time around. And fundraising is hard, especially when the cost of living is through the roof. But nothing I’m doing can even be compared to what Teddy and his amazing parents, Alastair and Kat, and his baby brother, Rupert are going through, so I’ve decided to use my running legs as a good excuse as any to ask you to support this wonderful family.
I have 500 kilometres left in my training plan. Will you donate just one pence per km and give £5.00?
Feeling flush? One £ or $ per km is welcome, too!
Thanks in advance for your generosity ❤️
Meet Teddy
Teddy is a three-year-old from West Sussex who is obsessed with anything to do with trains! In July 2022, Teddy was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer that has a 40-50% chance of long-term survival at diagnosis.
