One Cancer Voice calls for urgent government action to improve cancer care and survival

Today we’re joining with 50 other cancer charities across the UK, to make the urgent call for the Comprehensive Spending Review to deliver Government commitments to improve cancer survival and care.

Our call asks for 4 key actions to be taken:

  • Grow the cancer workforce and invest in equipment
  • Level-up on cancer to address socioeconomic factors
  • Strengthen investment in cancer research
  • Fulfil Cancer Care commitments

One Cancer Voice Letter to Government on Autumn Spending Review

Why is this important?

The COVID-19 has put incredible strain on cancer services, causing delay to diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care. This has only increased pressure on the services that were already failing to meet targets on cancer treatment and care. Without action, the situation will only become worse, and risks seeing cancer survival rates in the UK slip backwards.

Solving Kids’ Cancer is actively working to grow and drive research into neuroblastoma, as well as work closely with the clinical and research community to bring better care options that are tailored to the needs of children and young people. We can only collectively succeed in this mission if we are strongly supported by the UK’s healthcare infrastructure.

How can you help?
