Bent's Garden & Homes raises over £44,000 for Solving Kids' Cancer UK as their Charity of the Year

We are so grateful to our 2021 Charity of the Year partners Bent’s Garden & Homes, their colleagues and customers for raising an astonishing £44,597!

Solving Kids’ Cancer UK has been very close to the hearts of everyone at Bent's, following the loss of the company’s Financial Director’s great niece, 6-year-old Jossie Leaver who bravely battled with neuroblastoma. Jossie’s parents Stewart and Cassie Leaver and younger brother Dougie were joined by Gail Jackson CEO of Solving Kids’ Cancer UK to accept the donation over the weekend.

Gail was also joined for the occasion by representatives from Manchester Mind; Bents 2022 Charity of the Year.

“We are so honoured to have been chosen by Bent's as their Charity of the Year. It has been our absolute pleasure working together over the past year, the Butterfly Ball being a highlight, it was the most magical evening.

To receive £44,597 from Bent's is incredible. This donation will make such a huge difference to Solving Kids’ Cancer UK and allow us to support children diagnosed with the devastating cancer neuroblastoma and invest in clinical research. It will allow us to progress and grow our charity and continue to fight for a future where no child dies of neuroblastoma or suffers due to its treatment.

Bent's support and enthusiasm for fundraising activities has been magnificent. Thank you so much to everyone at Bent's and those who have supported their fundraising this year.”
