Family Fun Day
A space where families can meet, form connections, and create memories.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to host a day in the summer that was as accessible as possible to all the families we support, where they could come together after a difficult couple of years of not being able to meet in-person.
We wanted to create a relaxed, open, safe, and child-inclusive environment for both parents and children to create invaluable connections and have a good time!
Last year's event...
Our most recent event took place on a balmy day in July 2022 at the beautiful Knebworth House. We were excited to welcome over 40 families from the neuroblastoma community to join us for a day of fun and relaxation!
There were an array of activities for all ages and interests. Our friends at We Can Kick it, a US based organisation dedicated to inspiring and empowering children and families affected by cancer, led football games and activities. There were plenty of activities for guests to enjoy together as a family, from giant lawn games to craft activities. There was also a wonderful BBQ lunch, fit for the weather on the day!
Our games room, which featured a range PlayStations, Xboxes, steering wheels and pedals and virtual reality headsets, proved very popular! On top of this, families could strike a pose at our photobooth and play lots of games taking place throughout the day. As a final activity, Mr Marvel wowed in the afternoon with a magic show, disco and bubble machine! All children left with a special goody bag to remember their day.
