New partnership to help families travelling abroad for treatment

Some families choose to travel abroad so that their child can have treatment to help them fight neuroblastoma. Visiting another country can seem overwhelming, so we help families prepare for this – from liaising with medical professionals to arranging flight tickets and accommodation.

We’re delighted to let you know that we’re now working with the St George’s Society of New York who will provide a helping hand for families whose children are having therapies such as immunotherapy clinical trials at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York City.

From meeting the families at the airport when they arrive, to accompanying them to their first hospital consultation, it provides a much-needed support network whilst they are far from home at a very difficult time.

“This arrangement between the two charities is brilliant. It meant that we had a friendly face and someone to turn to for any support throughout our time there. It made everything seem more familiar and the trip less stressful as we could focus on Lottie’s needs, as well as making it fun for her with a bit of sightseeing whilst we were there. Including a trip to the M&Ms store (pictured)”.
