Halloween Walk

This October, join Team Solving Kids’ Cancer UK for a spine-tingling, spooktacular adventure through London as part of the Ultra Challenge Series’ Halloween Walk. Whether you choose the 25km challenge or the 10km walk, gather your bravest friends and family to form a team, or venture solo.

Dress Code

Come dressed in your Halloween costume at The Oval, Kennington, where the walk starts and ends, and we'll be there to help get everyone into the Halloween spirit on what promising to be a fantastic challenge event.

What Awaits You

You'll take part in a loop around the city, with fun and spooky rest stops to catch your breath. You'll also receive a special medal, a glass of fizz, hot food and drink, and a souvenir bobble hat to keep the cold at bay.

This Halloween, Solving Kids' Cancer UK invites you to walk the streets of London for a cause that’s as critical as it is close to our hearts. 

Whether you sign up as an individual, with your family, or as part of a team, you’ll be helping to raise vital funds for Solving Kids' Cancer UK, supporting our mission to help children with cancer and their families.

With two terrific routes to choose from, you can make a real difference in the lives of children facing cancer. Whether you’d prefer a 10K walk or a 25 km walk, each step you take helps fund research and support for young patients and their families.

The Details


10KM Walk

Distance: A looped 10 km route starting and ending at ‘The Dungeon’ at the Oval Cricket Ground.

Start Time: A singular start at 3pm, ensuring everyone can enjoy the evening together.

Features: Meander along the Thames and through the heart of London, with snacks, drinks, and support provided. Perfect for families or teams looking for a blend of Halloween fun and exercise.

Rewards: Participants will receive a free neck buff, a Halloween Walk Medal, a certificate, and free hot food and drink to warm up at the finish line.

25 KM Walk

Distance: A 25 km journey that also starts and finishes at The Dungeon, taking you further into the heart of London

Start Time: Set off anytime between 2 PM and 3 PM to embark on your walk.

Features: This route offers a more challenging trek with a rest stop en-route equipped with snacks, drinks, toilets, and medical support, ensuring a safe and spooky experience.

Rewards:  
Participants will receive a free neck buff, a bespoke Halloween Walk Medal, a certificate, and free hot food and drink to warm up at the finish line.

Age: Participants must be 14+ years if taking on the 25K challenge and 8+ years if taking on the 10K challenge. All participants under 18 must be signed in and accompanied by an adult participant.

How to join

There is a small registration fee for you to pay which is £10 for the 25km and £5 for the 10k (a 50% discount for Team SKCUK). 

The rest of the cost of your place is being covered by Solving Kids Cancer UK, provided you reach a minimum fundraising target which is a £240 fundraising target for the 25km and £150 fundraising target for the 10k.
